Plas Y Brenin are the National Outdoor Centre for Sport England, based in Wales and running winter courses in Scotland. The winter months are an important part of their program, teaching and guiding clients to enjoy the mountains safely in snow and ice. To advertise the 2021 program we were asked to produce a short film together with a social media edit and some still images. I joined them for a day in Glencoe in March 2020 and filmed a winter skills group and a team of instructors heading out mountaineering. I shot the project as a single person crew which provides maximum efficiency for the client and allows us to react to the conditions on the ground. An early start paid dividends on the day as without it we would not have caught the weather window that provided the summit ridge drone shots.

Two days in the edit then produced the content they were looking for.
