Visit Swansea Bay
We were delighted this summer to win a highly competitive tender process to produce 3 films for “Visit Swansea Bay”. This is the first of the films to be released and has the theme of Legendary Adventures. We were asked to produce a 50 second film, a 30 second social media short and a 7 second trailer and this first film was shot at some beautiful locations across Mumbles and Gower.
Outline Approach: A group of children are huddled under a blanket on a bedroom floor reading a spooky story, their faces lit up by torchlight. In the next clip they emerge from under than blanket and find themselves at dusk at Pennard Castle. Their adventure sees them visit The Grand Theatre, Rhosilli Bay, Ostermouth Castle and finally return home. The story is kept light and entertaining, not too frightening and utilises beautiful cinematography including aerial filming that showcases the landscapes and environment of each location. The film comes to a close as they return home and lift the blanket, revealing bags packed for a weekend away.
The story conveys the children’s experiences as they visit the castles, the theatre and Rhossili, the beach by moonlight, night time adventures by torchlight, magnificent sunsets and the thrill of travel for the first time. The experiences create memories which in turn make the holiday last a lifetime.
