Joint Service Mountain Training Centre
This film was made for the Joint Service Mountain Training Centre.
I joined them for 3 days in the Lake District to film members of the RAF, Navy & Army taking part in a week of Adventure Training. This was “run and gun” style filming with the aim of producing a promotional video that will promote the mountain training scheme within the military. I needed to move around the instructors and course members on the various scrambling routes, filming without directing. We also produced a 20 second social media short for them to use as part of a wider campaign.
This video is a great example of what we can achieve with a single person crew in the mountains, combining aerial and traditional filming, “run and gun” style and with a quick turnaround on the edit – the film was put together within a week of the shoot. This style of filming keeps the costs lower and is ideal for online and social media campaigns and everything has been done in-house.
